Read this a couple of times and see if you can find anything interesting. If you're site isn't properly optimized and your not at the top of Google's radar, you might just get left behind when they make important decisions regarding Google Chrome, you know...that little web browser they own.

You know the omnibox right? That magical address bar thingy that also does search and magically just knows what you're thinking, even before you think it. Well if your site ranks well for keyword Google will suggest it, right from the browser. So now, more then ever you'll need to throw on your SEO & SEM hat and brush up on your skills.
I do enjoy using Chrome and understand all the reasons for optimizing site structure and content; however, I believe what you're referring too has more to do with individual user's history for suggested searches within Chrome, so I'm not too clear on the connection with SEO and omnibox.
